Hailing from a small town in New Zealand, Charlotte moved to the big smoke of London 4 years ago. With a Masters in Drama and a vivacious personality, Charlotte brings to NEW London Tours all of the energy and adventure of the southern hemisphere. In a previous incarnation as sales professional by week, globetrotter by weekend, Charlotte has recently hung up her corporate high heels to share all of the things she loves about London with other intrepid travellers.

grew up in Windsor, just outside London, in a house that has always looked rather inadequate next to that of her neighbour, the Queen. She fell in love with London the very first time she visited and has been fascinated by London and its history ever since. Jo promises you a tour full of gruesome details, forgotten legends and plenty of jokes at the expense of the rich and powerful, and looks forwards to sharing her love about everything London with you.

Although having grown up in the north of England John considers himself very much the Londoner, having lived in the big smoke for twelve years. He loves London, it’s is a modern vibrant city with a constantly changing skyline, but it also has an overwhelmingly rich history, the backdrop to countless important historical events. If John had to pick one thing about London that beats all the competition it’s the drama, the atmosphere and 2000 years of turbulent history. Oh wait that’s three . . . oh and then there’s the pubs! That’s four! Never mind. Maths isn’t John’s strong point but luckily tour guiding is.

Meet the London socialite John, actor by day and tour guide by night (or sometimes the other way around). Having lived in London for seven years John has a passionate love for the city that has produced everything from the world’s first lunatic asylum to David Bowie and as a professional actor he has all the skills to lead you on an animated rollercoaster ride of his home. Look out for him and his friendly umbrella Rupert walking the streets of London town and even if he is not leading a tour go up and say hi. He is very chatty.

Originally from the West Country of England (where they make cider that looks horrible but tastes great!), Mark moved up to London 3 years ago – now he never wants to leave this amazing city. He lives in the rock ‘n roll centre of London, Camden, loves to listen to new music, watch bands and is more than happy to help plan gigs and nights out while you’re here in London. He also tries to make his own music… but with not much success! He has a habit of making bad jokes and puns, but as a guide will try not to put you through ‘tour’ture.”

Owen is a former diplomat, who ditched the cocktail party circuits and treaty negotiations to become a full-time Londoner! He loves making history interesting, and ensures no two tours are ever the same. He lives within 500ft of: (1) the pub where the Great Train Robbery was planned; (2) the apartment where Eric Clapton met George Harrison’s wife in secret, and wrote and played the hit song ‘Layla’ for the first time; and (3) the church monument that KGB officers used to conceal messages to British spies for decades. . . Owen promises a laugh, a lesson, and a top 5 list of free London sights — all in one!

Originally from France, Pascaline fell in love with London the first time she visited this amazing city about 10 years ago. A tourism graduate, she has lived in the US, Germany, Austria and Ireland, but has now decided to settle in her favourite city!
Pascaline is an energetic guide who is always smiling and whose passion for London is sure to infect all she meets!

A Londoner born and bred, Rowan has lived on three continents and travelled extensively but always comes home to London because for him the centre of the world is right here! It’s always changing and it’s always telling different stories. London is different things at different times of year. Balmy summers with pimms in the park, crisp winters with warm pubs and theatre and everything in-between. Being a guide lets Rowan show off the city that he loves and calls home – to take people from around the world on a journey through the majesty, history and awesomeness that is London! Sonja
A bit of a world-traveller, Sonja prides herself on living her life as a tramp abroad. Originally from a small town in sunny Florida, she moved to Europe to 7 years ago to explore her family heritage and complete her Masters Degree in Comparative Literature at the Ludwigs-Maxmilians University in Munich. Next to her studies, she worked for several years as a guide for Sandemans in Munich and has now moved on to continue her education. She has an undying passion for literature and language and the stories that make up a culture and felt naturally drawn to the city that produced likes of Wilde, Dickens, Shaw and Shakespeare. She has made it her mission to gather as many odd stories as possible and her tours are chalked full of etymological side notes and stories you might not normally hear on a standard walking tour of London. For Sonja, history is exciting, it is not trapped between the lines of some dusty old book but it is alive and evident in the streets we built, the traditions we hold, the tales we tell and retell and the language we use to describe them.

Rachel
Rachel is a film and theatre actress living in London. She is originally from Shropshire, home of J.R.R. Tolkien (author of Lord of the Rings) who came up with the idea of hobbits after after looking at the behaviour and height of the locals. After meeting Rachel you might see why! Growing up with the odd laws, dragons, and giants of Shropshire, Rachel fell in love with London’s amazing hidden stories and myths.

Stéph
Stéph is a bit of an army brat, born near Amsterdam, raised near Vienna, living briefly in the US and Edinburgh before spending the last few years making London her home. She loves writing, singing, acting, history and discovering parts of London she had no idea existed, especially the hidden, underground secrets lying beneath the old cobbled stones. She would like nothing better than to share those with you, come rain or shine…well, mostly rain, really. If you’re interested in theatre, she’s very excited to help you add that to your London itinerary. She is currently studying for her psychology degree and has the tendency to fall into multiple accents, so don’t be surprised if she picks up different ones during the tour!
